Duplex: A term used to denote when two or more coating systems are used in conjunction, in order to create superior properties from the combined coating.

Xylan 1070
A fluoropolymer organic spray applied coating with a coating thickness range fo 70-100μm and heat cured at 200°C for 20 minutes.
Xylan 5200 Series
A fluoropolymer organic dip-spin applied coating which is then cured at 200°C for 20 minutes, coating ranges 10-15μm. The application is used for automotive fasteners.
Delta Seal
An organic resin coating with approximately 2% PTFE to deliver reproducible torque values applied by either spray or dip-spin technology. Coating deposits of 8-10μm to achieve a salt spray resistance of 120 hours. The application is used for automotive fasteners.
VH 301
On top of Delta Protekt.
Delta Seal GZ
As for Delta Seal but with an additional PTFE level to a lower coefficient of friction. Typically applied to self-drilling/self-tapping screws.
Delta Coll GZ
An organic solvent-based dip-spin applied coating, cured at 80-100°C for 15 minutes. Available in black or opaque, withstands salt spray test in excess of 300 hours on electroplated or mechanical plated substrates.
Delta Coll GZ
A coating system, dip spun or spray applied and cured at 80-100°C to reduce the coefficient of friction, improving wear resistance.
Application Properties.
Spray Applications
Bodycote are able to spray most of the organic coatings using the freehand method.
There are two purpose-built spray booths at the Wolverhampton site.
They are capable of handling components to a maximum of two metres in length.
It is possible to spray specialist top coats and colours.
